HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Palo Alto High School in Palo Alto, Calif. … received first team All-League honors and went 7-2 with a 2.39 era, 55 strikeouts and five saves as a senior while helping the team to the CSS Division 1 Championship … was the winning pitcher in the CCS Division 1 championship game … went undefeated as a pitcher his junior year and the team finished as CCS Division 2 runner-ups … coached by Erick Raich.
