SOPHOMORE (2013): Finished the season with a .297 batting average, the second highest on the team ... Walked twice and scored two runs on April 19 vs. San Diego ... was 2-2 with his first career home run on April 21 vs. San Diego ... was 3-5 with 2 runs scored and a 3B on April 23 vs. UC Davis ... was 2-4 with a HBP on  April 28 at Saint Mary's ... was 1-3 with a 2B and 2 RBI on April 30 at UC Davis.

FRESHMAN (2012): 

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Northwood High School in Irvine, Calif. … as a senior, led his team to the second round of the playoffs and was team MVP … batted .426 with a .527 on-base percentage while setting school records in doubles, triples and runs in a season … also was named All-City and selected to play in the Orange Country North-South All-Star game … in his junior season the team reached the quarterfinals of the playoffs while he was named team MVP, first team All-League and All-City and Elite Baseball All-Tournament team … hit .426 with 32 runs, 23 runs batted in, a .711 slugging percentage and four home runs that year … coached by Rob Stuart … played varsity football as well.

PERSONAL: Born in Orange, Calif. … parents are Joe and Kate Gisch … has two siblings: Jordan and Holly … grandfather played baseball for the Los Angeles Dodgers … in high school, was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and the Principal’s Honor Roll … hobbies include golfing, fishing and snowboarding. He will be majoring in Communications.
