JUNIOR (2019):  Drafted in the 36th round (1093rd overall) by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2019 Major League Baseball draft ... led the team in wins (4), strikeouts (68) and tied for lead in appearances (21) ... tied for second on the team in games started (9) ... second on the team in innings pitched (64.2) ... opening day starter ... posted a 4-7 record with a 5.15 ERA ... 47 of 68 strikeouts were by swinging ... earned first career win against Washington State (Feb. 23) tossing five scoreless innings ... fanned a season-high nine batters against San Francisco (March 29) ... started in nine of the first 10 appearances before moving to the bullpen for his final 11 appearances.  

 

PRIOR TO SCU: Selected in the 24th round by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2018 Major League Baseball First-Year Players Draft … pitched two seasons at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, Arizona in 2017 and 2018 under head coach Todd Eastin … two-time All-Arizona Community College Athletic Conference selection … in 2018, started in all 16 games going 7-3 with a 2.44 ERA … struck out 112 batters over 96 innings and walked just 18 … in 2017, posted the lowest freshman ERA (2.04) in the ACCAC over 66.1 innings, striking out 58 hitters and walking nine … graduated from Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Phoenix in 2016 … 2016 team captain … 2016 second team All-State selection with a 6-2 record and 2.23 ERA over 53.1 innings, striking out 60 … holds the school record for most career wins (8) … honor roll student all four years.
