SENIOR (2014): Made 29 appearances and 22 starts in his senior campaign … was the team’s primary starting first baseman from late February until he sustained an injury April 12 at Gonzaga and did not make an appearance the rest of the season … hit .295 with six doubles, 12 RBIs and eight runs scored … recorded  a pinch-hit, two-RBI double and scored a run Feb. 21 vs. Incarnate Word ... tacked on an RBI Feb. 27 vs. Arizona State ... hit a double Feb. 28 vs. Oklahoma ... went 2-for-2 with a double, a walk and a run scored March 2 vs. Manhattan ... recorded a pinch-hit single March 4 at Cal Poly ... went 1-for-3 with a walk and run scored March 6 vs. Washington … added a hit, a run scored and two stolen bases March 7 vs. UC Davis … went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a walk March 8 vs. Pacific … went 2-for-4 with a double March 9 vs. Washington … went 2-for-4 with a run scored to extend his hitting streak to eight games March 13 vs. Penn State … recorded a hit and an RBI March 15 vs. Penn State … added a hit and an RBI March 22 vs. Pepperdine … doubled and drove in two runs March 28 at Pacific … went 2-for-5 with two runs scored March 30 at Pacific … added a hit April 4 vs. Portland … recorded a single and an RBI April 5 vs. Portland … hit a sacrifice fly for an RBI April 6 vs. Portland … went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored April 8 at Nevada … recorded hits April 11 and April 12 at Gonzaga.

JUNIOR (2013): Appeared in 9 games ... Pinch hit vs. San Diego on April 21 ... was 1-2 on April 27 at Saint Mary's for his first collegiate hit.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended De La Salle High School in Concord, Calif. … hit .380 his senior year … missed his junior year due to injury … went 9-0 and had a .390 batting average as a sophomore … hit .290 and was a Super-Regional qualifier (top-eight in state) on his amateur team...also played football.

PERSONAL: Son of Richard and Jeanie...has two siblings; Tyler (23) and Maddi (15)...grandfather, Clint Smith, played for the Pirates Org...another relative, Tyler Hess, played for the Giants Org...hobbies include hunting and fishing...majoring in political science
