PRIOR TO SCU: Graduated from Carmel High in Carmel, California, in 2020 ... captained the Padres his senior year after being named team MVP and both the Offensive and Pitcher of the Year in 2019 ... hit .474 during his junior campaign with 10 of his 27 hits going for extra-bases ... transitioned from being a shortstop to a fulltime pitcher during sophomore season ... struck out 36 batters over 27 innings while walking only five and held the opposition to a .168 batting average during his junior season ... Trosky baseball product ... played for the Oakland A's area code team.  
 
PERSONAL: Parents are Noah and Candace Trosky ... has an older sibling, Jonah ... great grandfather, Hal Trosky, played in the big leagues for 11 seasons, mainly for the Cleveland Indians in the 1930s and 40s ... grandfather, Hal Jr., played for the Chicago White Sox ... uncle, Nate, was an All-American at Hawaii Pacific University ... cousin, Ian Mattiace, played for the Iowa Hawkeyes ... in his spare time enjoys lifting weights, running on the beach, hanging out with friends, watching YouTube and listening to music.
