FRESHMAN (2011): Appeared in three games and received three at-bats … scored a run and had first at-bat of season vs. Brown … recorded two at-bats after coming in a pinch-hitter vs. Brown on Mar. 28.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Archbishop Mitty High School in San Jose, Calif...played both baseball and basketball for Mitty... his 2009 batting average was .486... his high school baseball team won West Catholic Athletic League title, Central Coast Section  title and named #1 in the nation his senior year... the team record was 31 – 3.... hit 3 HRs his senior year. Also played for basketball team which also won the CCS title...named first-team WCAL All-League in Basketball, Cal Hi Sports Scholar Athlete of the Year and Senior of the Year by San Jose Mercury News....named Athlete of the Year for 2010 at Archbishop Mitty.
