SUMMER (2007) - USA NATIONAL TEAM: Played forthe USA National Team the summer after freshman season, joining thetop freshman and sophomore collegiate baseball players in thecountry in competing in the Pan-American Games in Brazil and theWorld Port Tournament in the Netherlands ... also played in the36th Annual USA vs. Japan Collegiate Championship Series in Durham,NC, where Medica enjoyed a great deal of success againstinternational pitching, launching his first home run of the summerover the famed Durham Bull ... helped Team USA go 11-5 in itspre-Pan-American Games schedule, which included series' againstChinese Taipei and Japan ... at the Pan-American Games, Medica andthe Americans reached the Gold Medal Game before losing to Cuba,Medica went 1-for-3 with a run scored in the semifinal win overBrazil.
