Biography

SOPHOMORE (2018): Played in 18 games, starting in three ... did not commit an error on the season while playing second, third, shortstop and leftfield ... scored a run in five games ... hit a pair of singles against Pepperdine (April 15).  

FRESHMAN (2017): Played in 40 games and made 24 starts, primarily at second base ... hit .152 on the season with five doubles and three home runs while driving in 10 runs and scoring 11 himself ... recorded 44 putouts and 55 assists with a .934 fielding percentage ... hit his first-career home run against Purdue on March 18 as part of a 3-for-4 day at the plate ... went 2-for-4 at the dish with two doubles and two runs driven on March 26 when the Broncos upset then-No. 23 San Diego ... he homered at Portland (March 31) and in the SCU win at Pepperdine on April 28.

PRIOR TO SCU: A graduate of Vista Ridge High School, Walsh, a varsity captain as a junior in 2014-15, produced a standout season for head coach Jason Bourgeois and the Rangers ... Walsh was named the team's MVP in addition to Offensive Player of the Year Honors and his second straight First Team All-District 25 selection ... was selected to the Hill County News Dazzling Dozen. He won championships as part of Perfect Game Super 25 and Gold Games teams. Walsh was named to the Perfect Game All-Tournament Team.

PERSONAL: From Austin, Texas ... enjoys fishing, camping and working out. He is a member of Young Life, E-Teens and the VRHS Spirit Council.
