SENIOR (2018): Two-time team captain ... named second team All-West Coast Conference and All-Academic Honorable Mention ... played every minute (1,630) of all 17 matches this season, primarily at the defensive midfield position ... tallied two assists ... both assists led to first career Bronco goals for Alan Camacho Soto against UAB (Aug. 26) and Alex Achramowicz against UC Davis (Sept. 15).
JUNIOR (2017): Started in all 12 matches he appeared in ... scored first career goal against Maryland (Aug.25) in the season opener ... logged 1,079 minutes of playing time.
SOPHOMORE (2016): Started all 16 games ... was a key part of the Broncos defense at center back that posted a 1.03 goals against average, the No. 3 mark in the West Coast Conference.
FRESHMAN (2015): Started all 10 games he appeared in ... Helped the Broncos defense post a goals against average of 1.13 over 20 games, the second-best mark in the West Coast Conference ... Gillingham and his teammates recorded six shutouts on the year, also the No. 2 mark in the league.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended San Jose’s Bellarmine College Prep and played for the De Anza Force FC Academy program … outstanding midfielder and team leader … served as team captain for both the U16 and U18 Force teams … named Santa Clara’s top 2015 prospect by HeroSports prior to his freshman season as a Bronco.
PERSONAL: Son of Chuck and Tiffiny Gillingham … has two siblings, Blake and Brittany … mother, Tiffiny, was an All-American tennis player at UC Berkeley and played professionally … father, Chuck, played football at Stanford and coached football at Santa Clara during law school … enjoys swimming, hanging out with friends, and skydiving … majoring in Political Science.
