SENIOR (2016): Started in all 16 games ... named team captain ... was a vital part of the defense that had the third-best goals against average in the West Coast Conference, surrendering just 1.03 goals per game on the year ... dished out one assist on the year to Carlos Delgadillo in the 1-1 draw at Pacific ... played at left back and center back ... helped in the attack, getting forward with his speed and supplying balls into the box.

JUNIOR (2015): Started all 20 games ... had one assist ... picked up an assist vs. No. 20 Cal ... Helped spearhead a defense that posted a goals against average of 1.13 over 20 games, the second-best mark in the West Coast Conference ... Castro and his teammates recorded six shutouts on the year, also the No. 2 mark in the league.

SOPHOMORE (2014): Played in 15 games this season … was a starter in 12 matches … had two assists … tallied two assists in 4-1 rout against Pacific … attempted one shot against Maryland … collected one shot in 1-1 tie against LMU … attempted two shots and one shot on goal against Creighton.

FRESHMAN (2013): In his first season with the Broncos, Castro played in 11 of the Broncos’ 20 matches, starting in five … attempted a shot vs. SIUE (Aug. 30) … collected a shot vs. Saint Mary’s (Nov. 8).

HIGH SCHOOL: Semi-finals of CIF Playoffs ... Second Team All-League freshman year ... Rookie of the Year ... First team All-League sophomore year ... tied school's 400m dash record at 50 seconds flat. 

CLUB: Real So Cal Academy U16 and U18 ... second place, Globe Cup of the NI Milk Cup with the Irvine Strikers U18 Academy team. 

PERSONAL: Son of Rodrigo and Dianna ... has two siblings, Nicolas and Samantha ... plans on majoring in Business ... career goals include becoming a professional soccer player and a businessman ... his father played soccer at Indiana University and in the MISL ... his uncle played in the NASL, MISL and the Bundes Liga 2 ... part of the B.A.D.D (Brentwood Aid for Disease and Disaster) which works with organizations that serve the community in different ways, ie. organizing blood drives with the Red Cross ... outside of soccer, he enjoys watching movies, playing video games and hanging out with friends ... major is Finance
