FRESHMAN (2024): Matriculated early and participated in training during spring of 2024 ... appeared in four games ... logged 73 minutes of action ... played a season-high 35 minutes against Sacramento State (Sept. 9) ... two of three shots on the year were on frame.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduate of Timberline High School in Boise, Idaho ... 2022-23 Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year ... led Timberline High to an undefeated season and Idaho state championship with 14 goals and 10 assists in 2022 to help the Wolves repeat as the Idaho 5A state champions ... in 2022, was named Southern Idaho Conference Player of the Year, 5A State Player of the Year and the Idaho Press Soccer Athlete of the Year. 

CLUB: Played his club soccer for the Boise Timbers ... part of three Idaho State Championships in 2019, 2021 and 2023 ... in the fall of 2023, played for the De Anza Force.

GET TO KNOW KAI: Father, John, played with current Broncos head coach Cam Rast and associate head coach Eric Yamamoto on the 1989 National Championship team ... US Youth Soccer Certified referee since 2018 ... volunteer coach for youth soccer.
