SENIOR (2015): Appeared in 16 games with 12 starts ... had one assist ... collected an assists vs. Cal State Fullerton ... Contributed to a defense that posted a goals against average of 1.13 over 20 games, the second-best mark in the West Coast Conference ... Escobar and his teammates recorded six shutouts on the year, also the No. 2 mark in the league.

JUNIOR (2014): Played in 18 games this season … started five matches … scored one goal and one assist … scored the tying goal against Saint Mary’s in the final nine seconds … tallied one assist in 3-2 victory against Omaha.

SOPHOMORE (2013): Played in 16 of the Broncos’ matches, starting in 12 … from the back line, attempted a shot at Washington (Sept. 3) … attempted a shot vs. Stanford (Sept. 7) … collected two shots with one on the frame at San Jose State (Sept. 19) … attempted two shots at Saint Mary’s (Oct. 13) … attempted a shot vs. Gonzaga (Oct. 18) … picked up an assist in the Broncos’ 2-0 victory over USD (Nov. 17).

FRESHMAN (2012): One of the league's most talented defenders ... named a 2012 All-WCC Honorable Mention performer ... came in and started immediately in Santa Clara's back line, helping the Broncos post seven shutouts and contributing to teammate Larry Jackson earning the 2012 WCC Goalkeeper of the Year award ... started in all 13 games he was available for ... was a late transfer from the University of Portland ... both SCU and Portland agreed he would not appear in the SCU-Portland games during the 2012 season ... totaled four shots but did not score ... expected to once again be a huge part of the Broncos' side in 2013. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended nearby Bellarmine College Prep, leading the Bells to the Western Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) title and Central Coast Section (CCS) championship as a junior – his only season playing high school soccer … instead played extensively with the De Anza Force Academy program … helped the Force advance into the United States Development Academy Finals Week twice, finishing fourth nationally in 2010 … as a younger player, selected to compete in the Olympic Development Program (ODP).

PERSONAL: Born in San Jose, Calif. … son of Mark and Mary Ann Escobar … has one brother, Michael, who plays soccer for the University of Portland … also has one younger sister, Natalie … notes the San Jose Sharks as one of his favorite professional sports teams … also favors the Arsenal Football Club … major is Economics.
