FRESHMAN (2012): On the active roster all season long but did not appear in any games. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Sacred Heart Prep in nearby Atherton, Calif. - one of the most successful programs in the history of Central Coast Section (CCS) boys' soccer… named a First Team All-West Bay Athletic League (WBAL) player in 2010-11 … also named a WBAL Honorable Mention honoree during a four-year prep career in which Sacred Heart advanced into the CCS Division III playoffs.

PERSONAL: Born in Palo Alto, Calif. … son of David and Alison Polkinhorne … has one brother, Issac, who he played soccer with at Sacred Heart Prep … chose Santa Clara in part for the academic opportunities and is majoring in Bio-engineering.
