AS A FRESHMAN IN 2011: Played in three games as a true freshman … pinch-hit against Sacred Heart (Mar. 5) … was hit by pitches twice in three plate appearances, one which forced in a run and gave her an RBI against San Jose State (Mar. 12). 

HIGH SCHOOL: A scholar-athlete at Cupertino High School ... the 2009 Athlete of the Year ... brought ten years of softball playing experience to Santa Clara ... First Team All-SCVAL El Camino Division softball player ... also a First Team El Camino League basketball player.

PERSONAL: Born in Gilroy, Calif ... daughter of Leroy and Francisca Lankford ... hobbies include camping, hiking, traveling, 1500+ piece puzzles and hanging out with friends ... chose Santa Clara because... 'it has a beautiful campus, small and friendly; it creates oppourtunities for each individual while also consistently reminding them of the essentials to live a successful life, which are competence, conscience, and compassion; it's what I could ask for without losing the comfort of home' ...
