AS A SOPHOMORE IN 1999: Regularly relieved starter Crystal Gordon to begin the second half during the regular season... appeared in 17 games, getting the starting nod in three... posted a 0.77 GAA in 816 minutes played... allowed seven goals in 17 games... started in place of the injured Gordon for three consecutive road games from Sept. 7-12, allowing one goal and totaling five saves and two shutouts... made first career start against San Jose State on Sept. 7, recording two saves and a shutout as Santa Clara defeated the Spartans 4-0... again posted a pair of saves in a starting assignment at Washington on Sept. 10, leading the Broncos to a 3-1 victory... posted a pair of saves in the Broncos' 6-0 blanking against host Gonzaga... had one of the more memorable halves in Bronco goalkeeper history against No. 2 North Carolina on Sept. 24, recording a career-high three saves in the second half as Santa Clara held on for a 1-0 victory, its first-ever against the Tar Heels... matched her career-best save total two days later in a 7-2 defeat against Duke... held Santa Clara opponents to no goals while charting five saves over a span of 158:11 following her performance against the Tar Heels and the Blue Devils... held visiting Marquette scoreless in the second half on Oct. 10, enabling Santa Clara to escape with a 1-0 victory... finished the regular-season with four-straight solid outings against WCC opponents, allowing just one goal with four saves in 161 minutes played... replaced Gordon at the 75th minute during a 7-0 shutout of UCLA in the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 1998: Saw action in five matches, saving three of the five shots she faced... finished four shutouts against Conference opponents... credited with two shutouts on the year... made a spectacular second half save at San Diego on Nov. 1 to keep Santa Clara's NCAA record string of consecutive shutouts alive... made an impressive postseason debut during the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 14, making a pair of acrobatic saves over the final 13 minutes to keep the Broncos' 5-0 shutout of Pacific intact.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Prepped at Maine South High School in Park Ridge, Ill... played for coaches Tom Kerth and Tim Spiegel... established state and school records with 66 career shutouts... led Maine South to four consecutive conference championships... as a senior, helped team gain a berth in the state quarterfinals... was a four-time all league selection and a two-time All State honoree... also prepped in basketball and volleyball... graduated with a 3.3 grade point average... played club for the Buffalo Grove Lightning under coach Derek Menard, and the Chicago Cobras... helped the Lightning to back-to-back state championships in 1996 and 1997... also led team to finals appearance in the Junior Orange Bowl Tournament... a member of the North Regional Olympic Development Team (Region II) and Illinois State Team... daughter of Lee and Paula Gleason... majoring in business... born on May 29, 1980 in Park Ridge, Ill.
