Biography

AS A SENIOR IN 2003: A first-team All-West Coast Conference honoree... a team captain...honored by teammates as the squad's Defensive MVP... is one of three players that started all 24 contests at defense... has also seen time at holding midfielder... took nine shots on the season... began the play that resulted in the golden goal against Portland... anchored a defense that allowed only four goals during the WCC season.

AS A JUNIOR IN 2002: An honorable mention All-WCC team selection... started the first 19 contests and had 25 total starts... named to the adidas Classic All-Tournament team... injured right knee at USC but was able to play against San Diego... reinjured knee prior to regular season finale against Gonzaga and did not start... returned to the field to start against Creighton in the NCAA First Round... scored first goal of the season, a header against Nebraska in the third round of the NCAA Tournament, tying the game at two goals apiece... assisted on Devvyn Hawkins' goal in the College Cup final against Portland.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2001: Started five matches and saw action in 20... was part of a defense that allowed only one goal in the season's first 360 minutes... scored first goal of the season in the 83rd minute against San Francisco... scored second goal just three seconds after entering match against San Diego, heading in a corner kick in the 33rd minute for the game-winning goal that clinched the WCC title.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2000: Named an honorable mention All-WCC selection... also named to the Stanford/Nike Classic All-Tournament Team... recorded the Broncos' first goal in a third-round NCAA match at Brigham Young, heading the ball off a cross.

NATIONAL TEAM EXPERIENCE: A member of the U.S. Under-18 National Team while in high school... also played in Southern California's Olympic Development Program.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year starter at Claremont High School... earned NSCAA/adidas and Parade All-America honors... a four-time All-Baseline league selection, also garnered first-team All-California Interscholastic Federation honors as a junior after guiding Claremont to the CIF championship... her team also captured the CIF title as a sophomore... guided Claremont to back-to-back League championships as a junior and a senior... named All-CIF as a sophomore, junior and senior... earned co-MVP honors in sophomore and senior seasons... selected captain her senior year... a top contributor to Claremont's stingy defense which posted a two-year record of 51-7-2 with 48 shutouts... also a four-year letterwinner in volleyball and a three-year letterwinner in softball... a three-time first-team all-league selection in volleyball and softball... a Claremont High School scholar athlete... named the Foothill Citrus Athletic Director's Association Scholar athlete for the 1999-2000 school year... a member of the National Honor Society... carried a 3.92 GPA and earned All-State CIF Academic honors... played club under coach Mike Hammond with the Claremont Stars.

PERSONAL: Born January 29, 1982 in Pomona, Calif... daughter of Joseph and Joann Poole... majoring in psychology with a minor in sociology... interested in pursuing a career in forensic psychology.
