Biography
AS A SENIOR IN 2003: Started eight contests and saw action in 18... missed all four NCAA matches after sustaining high ankle sprain... netted six goals and one assist for 13 points... scored two goals at San Jose State, both in the second half... the second was on a breakaway... netted a goal and an assist against the Tigers... scored against Penn State 1:29 only into the match, for the ninth fastest goal to start a game in Bronco history... added the final Bronco goals against LMU and Pepperdine.
AS A JUNIOR IN 2002: Made first start against Stanford on the front line and registered three shots... saw action in 12 games... scored first DI collegiate goal against the Grizzlies... was a first half substitution against Portland and Pacific... scored the first goal against the Tigers on a one-on-one breakaway... added two goals against Creighton in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, on four shots.
AT DE ANZA JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played under head coach Cheryl Owiesny at De Anza Junior College in Cupertino, Calif... led team to the third round of the playoffs and conference titles both seasons ...named the Coast Conference offensive player of the year as a midfielder in 2000 and overall player of the year as a forward in 2001... earned first team all-America honors... also received two first-team all-conference, NSCAA All-West and All-NorCal honors... scored 14 goals and seven assists in 2000 while adding 39 goals and 13 assists as a sophomore to lead the state in scoring for junior colleges... was the MVP of the Sophomore Bowl, a game that showcases the conference's first team selections... also lettered in track, under coaches Al Vacio and Jim Linthicum, and was part of a conference championship team in 2001... earned the 2000 Academy of Champions Vector Marketing Annual Sales award.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played under head coach Michelle Leedy at Abraham Lincoln High School in San Jose, Calif... earned team MVP honors in 1996 an d'98... also played volleyball and track, earning 12 varsity letters... coached by Kevin Collins and Kevin O'Kane in track... named volleyball and track teams' most valuable player on three occasions, while earning volleyball league MVP in 1998... placed 27th in the long jump at the state championship.
