Biography
AS A SENIOR IN 2001: Saw first collegiate soccer action against Fresno State, when substituted in the contest's 78th minute... a four-year standout on the SCU volleyball team, had never played soccer before working out with the team last spring... did not record a save in 12 minutes of action... also saw 13 minutes against Gonzaga, preserving the team's shut out... saw 17 minutes to preserve shut out against Colorado College... allowed first goal of the season against Syracuse in the NCAA Second Round... posted a 1.58 GAA in 57 total minutes.
SCU VOLLEYBALL CAREER: AS A SENIOR IN 2000: An AVCA All-Pacific Team member... named the WCC's Player of the Year and Defender of the Year... became only the fourth Bronco to post 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career, with a school record 1,748 kills and the program's fifth highest digs with 1, 278... led the team to its second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament second round and a program best 27-5 record... the Broncos also achieved the program's highest national ranking with a No. 14 mark by the AVCA... led the Broncos to their first league title in seven years... AS A JUNIOR IN 1999: A first-team All-WCC... registered a team-high 524 kills in 114 games played... averaged 4.60 kills per game while hitting .239... one of four players who appeared in all 32 matches... led the team in service aces with 39 and was second on the team in digs with 349... 17 block solos was a team-high... turned in 24 straight double-figure kill matches and averaged 4.83 kills per game during that time span... also had 18 double-kill, double-dig performances... named to the all-tournament team at the GTE Aggie Invitational... AS A SOPHOMORE IN 1998: Ranked second on the team in kills with 318... 3.57 kill average ranked ninth on the school's single-season Top 10 list...had 17 double-figure kill matches, including three contests of 23 kills or more... AS A FRESHMAN IN 1997: Earned honorable mention All-WCC honors after turning in one of the best first-year campaigns in school history... became the first freshman in school history to lead the team in both kills (369) and kill average (3.92)... kill average was the second-highest average in school history.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Redwood High School in Visalia, Calif., where she played volleyball for Leslie Sorensen... helped Redwood to back-to-back Yosemite League titles as a junior and senior... Redwood also advanced to the 1996 and `97 CIF Finals... three-time first team All-West Yosemite League selection... West Yosemite League MVP as a senior... all-area first team selection, as well... also named West Yosemite League's MVP in basketball... finished her basketball career with a school record 1,124 points, becoming the first female to reach the 1,000-point plateau... earned her team's MVP award as a junior and senior... named Rangerette of the Year, an award given to Redwood's most accomplished athlete.
