AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2025):  Led the team and finished sixth in the WCC with 372 kills while starting in all 29 games ... Finished eighth in the conference with 3.23 kills per set, and was also third on the team with 202 digs ... Had 18 games in double figures for kills and five double doubles ... Had a career high 26 kills against Pepperdine on Oct. 4, and 17 digs vs. Washington State on Sept. 27 ... Was named WCC Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 6 for the first time in her career ... Selected to the Catholic Challenge All-Tournament Team ... Earned First Team All-WCC honors.


AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2024): Played in eight matches and 26 sets before sitting out the rest of the season with injury ... Had 62 kills, 47 digs, and nine blocks... Career high 12 kills vs. Villanova (8/30/24), and 13 digs vs. Southern Utah (9/13/24) ... Was named to the UT Arlington Classic All-Tournament Team.

AS A FRESHMAN (2023): Redshirted the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: A two-sport athlete at Deerfield (Mass.) Academy in both volleyball and basketball ... Earned the New England Player of the Year award and helped lead the Big Green to two NEPSAC (New England Preparatory School Athletic Council) championships ... Was captain of the team and earned the school's Coaches' Award as a senior in 2022 ... Also made the Honor Roll at Deerfield Academy ... Won an 18U National Championship with her club team.

GET TO KNOW CATE: Has worked with children with special needs in the Bahamas at "Every Child Counts" ... Worked for eight summers as a Camp Counselor for Camp Robin Hood in New Hampshire ... Father, Brendan Shanahan, played hockey in the NHL from 1987 to 2009, winning three Stanley Cups and being inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame in 2013. He currently serves as the President & Alternate Governor for the Toronto Maple Leafs ... Grandfather, Jim Hooley, was a Hall-of-Fame basketball player at Boston College and was drafted by the Boston Celtics in 1962.
