Biography

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2001: Saw action in 11 matches and 30 games... registered 11 kills vs. Nevada and against Creighton... hit .321 against the Blue Jays with only two errors... added two blocks in that outing... did not suit up for last nine matches.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at La Reina High School in Thousand Oaks, Calif., under coach Don Hyatt... was named a Fab-50 by Volleyball Magazine... led La Reina to a 28-1 record and the CIF Championship... placed third in the state competition... became the first player at La Reina to reach 1,000 career kills and finished with 1,249 in four-year prep career... earned All-State honors and was named the CIF MVP this past season... was named the Daily News Player of the Year in 2000... also a TO Star her senior season... her club team won the National Championship in 1999 and finished as runners-up in 2000.

PERSONAL: Born April 7, 1983 in West Hills, Calif... parents are Dennis and Laura Ryan... has two younger brothers... cousin Amy Ryan is an actress on Broadway... plans on majoring in engineering.
