JUNIOR (2021): Played in 12 games, starting in seven ... made five starts at first base and two as the designated hitter ... went 6-for-26 on the year including a pair of home runs ... both home runs came at Pepperdine (May 15) coming off the bench, a two-run shot and a solo homer ... went 3-for-4 against hometown team San Francisco (May 29). Â
SOPHOMORE (2020): Appeared in one game ... came in as a defensive substitute at first base against San Jose State (Feb. 16). Â
FRESHMAN (2019): Appeared in five games ... made his debut at LMU (March 17) drawing a walk in his first plate appearance. Â
PRIOR TO SCU: Graduated from Saint Ignatius College Prep in San Francisco, California, in 2018 … captained the Wildcats baseball team during junior and senior seasons … also captained the football team during senior season … four-year letter winner in both baseball and football …. on the diamond, played the corner infield positions as well as catcher … on the gridiron, played on both sides of the line and was named First-Team All-West Catholic Athletic League during senior campaign.
PERSONAL: Parents are Jay and Anna Hanley … has a brother, Kevin … father, Jay, attended Santa Clara University and played water polo …. godfather, Kevin Dunton played baseball at Santa Clara where he is the career home run leader with 38 prior to being drafted by the Montreal Expos … enjoys being outdoors, fishing and hiking.
