SANTA CLARA, Calif. - No. 20 ranked San Diego defeated Santa Clara men's tennis 4-1 in a West Coast Conference match on Sunday afternoon at the Degheri Tennis Center.  

The Toreros (17-2, 6-0 WCC) picked up the doubles point and the first singles match to go up 2-0 on the Broncos with Marvin Schaber having a hand in each victory.  Schaber teamed up with David Norfeldt to defeat Guillaume Dalmasso and Santiago Hinojosa 6-4 at court two to clinch the doubles point.  He then took down Santiago Hinojosa 6-4, 6-1 on court five of singles action.  

Arthur Neuhaus got the Broncos (8-9, 3-3 WCC) on the board when he beat Sacchitt Sharrma 6-3, 7-5 on court two to make it 2-1 on the team score.  

USD pushed the lead out to 3-1 at court six behind Will Davies' win over Nick Cmager 6-1, 7-5. 

The match clincher came atop the singles lineup where Dalmasso pushed the seventh-ranked singles player August Homgren to three sets before falling 6-1, 3-6, 6-1.
