Arkansas ITF M15/USTA 15K Fayetteville Futures Tournament Draws/Results

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After three-straight singles wins, Santa Clara men's tennis player Christian Lerby's run at the Arkansas ITF M15/USTA 15K Fayetteville Future Tournament came to an end on Thursday, losing to Alex Martinez in the second round of the main draw.  

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Martinez defeated Lerby in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.
• Lerby had won three-straight matches leading up to the match against Martinez.  The Broncos graduate student was one of eight players (out of 32) to win a pair of matches in the qualifying draw to make it to the main draw.  Lerby won his opening round match in the main draw to finish among the last 16 players remaining. 

NEXT UP:

• Santa Clara heads to Stockton, California to play in the Pacific Hidden Dual starting Friday.
