Men's Golf Concludes Tucker Invitational

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Broncos concluded the William H. Tucker Invitational, maintaining their position tied for 16th. Throughout the tournament, Santa Clara displayed strong determination, especially from J.P. Odland who led the pack with his score of 2-over 218. The overall team victory went to New Mexico, with a final score of 29-under 835. However, in the individual rankings, Tyler Kowack from San Diego State emerged as the top performer, carding 11-under 205. 

 

ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:

  • In the final round today, the leader for Santa Clara was Nolan Forsman who carded an even par to finish the tournament. This was his best of the tournament adding four birdies to his name. 

  • Calder Overfelt had a successful back end with three consecutive birdies in today's final round. He carded a 5-over 77 on the day. 

  • As a team, the Broncos went 10-over 298 in the final round, finishing with a 20-over 884.  

  • Odland secured the best finish for the Broncos, concluding the competition in a tied 43rd position. 

 

NOTABLE NUMBERS:

  • During the two-day tournament, Santa Clara secured a total of 47 birdies and three eagles.

  • Jeffrey Kwak's outstanding performance of 6-under 66 in the second round stood out as the Broncos' highlight in this competition.
