Box Score DAVIS, Calif. – Santa Clara men's tennis picked up a total of three wins during the first day of the Aggie Invitational, hosted by UC Davis, on Friday to open the 2023-24 fall season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Four Santa Clara players - Alexander Watanabe Eriksson, Arjun Honnappa, Lukas Maskow and Matthew Rodriguez - participated in the Aggie Invitational with Guillaume Dalmasso and Christian Lerby set to play at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma this coming weekend.
- Of the three wins the Broncos had on Friday, two were in singles and one was in doubles.
- Newcomer Watanabe Eriksson had two of the Broncos wins - a singles victory in Flight B and a doubles consolation round win while paired up with fellow newcomer Honnappa.
- Rodriguez had the other SCU triumph, winning his Flight C quarterfinal match.
