SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – For the
second week in a row and third time this season,
Tess Heal has been named the
West Coast Conference Player of the Week.

The sophomore guard scored 30 points in the Broncos conference-opening win over
Pacific on Saturday. She was 7-of-14 from the field and 15-of-17 from the charity stripe while adding six assists and four rebounds.

Heal leads Santa Clara in scoring with 18.3 ppg and assists with 4.6 apg. She leads the nation with 94 free throws made and is third with 104 attempted. Her 90.4-percent mark from the charity stripe is No. 15.

The Broncos have a tough road trip this weekend, playing at the top two teams in the preseason coaches' poll, No. 16 Gonzaga (Thursday) and Portland (Saturday).
