SEATTLE – Santa Clara men's tennis had two singles players and a pair of doubles teams advance to the round of 32 of the main draw at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships on Friday.  
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Alexander Watanabe Eriksson and John Kim both won their singles and doubles matches in the main draw's opening round of 64.  
• In singles, the Bronco players defeated a couple of fellow West Coast Conference players.  Watanabe Eriksson beat Thibaud Maxant of Saint Mary's 6-3, 6-3 and Kim downed Gonzaga's Kai-Luca Ampaw 6-0, 6-3.
• In doubles, Watanabe Eriksson teamed up with Tiago Boschmans to take care of Seattle's Michael Frank and Veselin Kiselkov 8-6 while Kim played with Luca Bluett to win 8-3 over another Seattle doubles team of Jun Sasagawa and Yuan Lu.

NEXT UP:

• The third day of the ITA Regional Championships continues on Saturday with the main draw's round of 32 in both singles and doubles as well as the doubles round of 16.
