KAPOLEI, Hawaii - Sophomore Kelsey Kim tied her season low of 3-under 69 in the opening round of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational to finish the day in a tie for sixth. Santa Clara as a team shot a 3-over 291 and is currently tied for ninth with GCU. 

ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:

• Kim tallied five birdies for the day with four coming on the front nine. She is just five strokes behind Colorado State's Lacey Uchida (64). 
• Amy Im was just one stroke over par and is tied for 29th. 
• Fellow freshmen Alexa Pineda (74) and Chloe Lam (75) also fared well at plus-2 and plus-3, respectively. 
• Colorado State leads the field at 12-under 276.
