MILLBRAE, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golf junior
Kelsey Kim picked up her fourth top-three finish of the season on Tuesday at the Silicon Valley Showcase, turning in an even par 71 in the final round to finish 1-over 214 and in sole possession of third place. The Broncos shot 12-over 296 as a team in Tuesday's final round to finish in a tie for fifth at 35-over 887.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Kim had a pair of birdies to counter two bogeys in the final round. The third-place finish was her seventh inside the top-10 on the season.
- Chloe Lam moved up nine spots on the final day to tie for 16th at 8-over 74-74-73--221.
- Audrey Brust and Rachael Wang tied each other for 33rd at 14-over 227 while Proud Sriwongngam, playing as an individual, was a shot behind in a tie for 36th at 15-over 228. Amy Im rounded out the group with a tie for 40th at 17-over 230.
- Eastern Michigan (860) held off Cal (861) to win the team title at 4-over while the Eagles' Baiyok Sukterm also head on for individual medalist honors at 3-under 210.
