Kelsey Kim's phenomenal junior season came to a close on Wednesday with a tie for 12th finish at the 2026 Stanford Regional. Kim shot 3-over 74 in Wednesday's final round at the par-71 Stanford Golf Course to finish the event 1-under 72-68-74--212.
Kim, just the third player in program history to compete in a NCAA Regional, tied for the second-best finish among individuals in the 77-player field not attached to one of the five teams that advanced to the 2026 NCAA Championship. New Mexico State's Emma Bunch finished 6-under 207 in a tie for sixth to secure her spot in the championship as the lone individual from the regional to book her ticket for Carlsbad.
Kim had a pair of birdies on Nos. 7 and 16 for the day, but five bogeys proved costly. The Fullerton, Calif., product still notched the second-best outing by a Bronco in a NCAA Qualfier in program history (Miki Ueoka tied for ninth in 2009), and logged her 10th top-20 finish of the year - tied for the most in program history (Annie Freman in 2013-14).
Kim finished the season with a scoring average of 71.64 strokes - the lowest in program history.
