SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif- The Santa Clara women's volleyball team had seven players named to the 2024 West Coast Conference All-Academic Honors as announced by the conference on Friday. The trio of senior

Elena Radeff were named to the 16-player WCC All-Academic Team while junior
Layla Truitt and sophomores
Grace Flanagan,
Alyssa Eimer and
Lexi Trapani each received Honorable Mention recognition.

Abutbul, an opposite hitter from Zichron Yaakov, Israel, was named to the WCC's All-Academic Team for the second year in a row while her six teammates were honored for the first time. This is the second year in a row that the Broncos have had at least two honorees on the All-Academic Team, and the third consecutive year Santa Clara has had at least seven players receive All-Academic honors.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative Grade Point Average, while also being a significant contributor to their team and in at least their second year at their school.

OREN ABUTBUL
Abutbul finished her final year with the Broncos carrying a 3.699 GPA in her computer science major after a perfect 4.0 GPA in the spring term. Oren played in 24 matches for the Broncos this season, starting in 16. Her most productive match this season came at Gonzaga on Oct. 24, matching her career high with 20 kills and posting a new career best with eight digs. Oren has 540 kills in her SCU career, boasting 2.57 kills per set. She had 12 double figure games in kills this season and 25 times in her career. She earned WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll Gold Honors in 2022-23 and Silver honors in 2023-24, All-WCC Honorable Mention in 2023, First Team All-Academic in 2023, and was selected to two All-Tournament teams this year at the Catholic Challenge and Santa Clara/SJSU Invitational.

LAUREN GROVER
Grover finished her final year with the Broncos carrying a 3.723 GPA in her marketing major after a 3.940 GPA in the spring term. Lauren played in 23 matches for the Broncos this season, starting in 20. She tied a career high with 16 kills against Gonzaga, had a career high 17 digs here at Leavey Center versus Fresno State, and recorded a career high 4 blocks at Pacific. Grover added four double-doubles this season, with the last coming at Saint Mary's on Nov. 2. Lauren claimed WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll Silver Honors three times from 2022 to 2024, as well as 2023 WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention.

ELENA RADEFF
Radeff owns a 3.559 GPA in her fourth year as a finance major after a 3.850 GPA in the spring term. Elena played in 26 matches for the Broncos this season, starting in nine. She became a reliable force for the Broncos, leading the team in kills for the final six games of the season, tying a career high 20 kills vs. Saint Mary's on Nov. 23., hitting a career high .630 in the final match of the season vs. Gonzaga on Nov. 27. Radeff has received WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll Silver Honors twice in 2020-21 and 2021-22, WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll Bronze Honors in 2022-23, All-WCC Honorable Mention in 2023, and All-Academic Honorable Mention in 2023. In four seasons at SCU, she has 451 career kills, averaging 2.45 kills per set.

GRACE FLANAGAN
Flanagan carries a 3.936 GPA in the second year of her studio art major after a 3.825 GPA in the spring term. She played in 27 matches this season for the Broncos, starting in every contest. She led the Broncos with 31 service aces this year, tallying a career high five aces on Oct. 10 at Oregon State. She also led the team with 95 blocks, averaging 0.92 blocks per set. She had a career high nine blocks on Nov. 23 vs. Saint Mary's, and a career high 10 kills in the season opener on Aug. 30 against Villanova and on Nov. 2 at Saint Mary's. Flanagan earned All-WCC Honorable Mention for contributions this season.

ALYSSA EIMER
Eimer carries a 3.939Â GPA in her second year as an accounting major after a 3.825 GPA in the spring term. Eimer played in 23 of the team's 28 matches this season as a defensive specialist recording 40 assists, 11 service aces, and 77 digs, averaging 1.18 digs per set. She had a career high 10 assists and tied a career high three service aces vs. Notre Dame on Aug. 31. She had a season high 13 digs vs. San Jose State on Sept. 15.

LEXI TRAPANI
Trapani carries a 3.736 GPA in the second year of her business major after a 3.600 GPA in the spring term. It was a career year for Trapani, as she played in 26 matches for the Broncos this season. She tied a career high 10 assists twice at Gonzaga on Oct. 24 and vs. Pepperdine on Oct. 26, posting her first two career double-doubles with 16 digs in both matches. She posted a career high 22 digs vs. Pacific on Oct. 17.

LAYLA TRUITT
Truitt carries a 3.236 GPA in her third year in her management major after a 3.371 in the spring term. She played in 27 matches this season, starting in 26 of them for the Broncos. Truitt was second on the team this season with 80 blocks, and fourth on the team with 179 kills, averaging 1.72 kills per set. She tied a career high seven blocks on Aug. 31 vs. Notre Dame and had a season high 16 kills on Sept. 13 vs. Southern Utah, earning a spot on the Santa Clara/SJSU Invitational All-Tournament team. Truitt was also recognized with All-WCC Honorable Mention honors for her contributions this season.
