PHOENIX – Santa Clara men's tennis swept Grand Canyon 4-0 Friday with Alexander Watanabe Eriksson clinching the fourth and final team point for the Broncos. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Santa Clara (5-1) took home three singles match wins by Guillaume Dalmasso, Luca Lemaitre and Alexander Watanabe Eriksson to go along with capturing the doubles point.
• In doubles, Grand Canyon (2-3) and Santa Clara split the first two matches before Dalmasso/Christian Lerby defeated Gerhard Sullwald/David Wekesa 7-5 to clinch the doubles point.
• Luca Lemaitre kept the momentum going in singles play with his straight-set victory over Jonathan Da Silva 6-3, 6-3 on court four followed by Dalmasso's win over Sullwald 6-4, 6-2 on court two.
• Watanabe Eriksson downed Alfred Almasi 7-6 (7-1), 6-4 to clinch the match to help the Broncos improved to 5-1 on the season.

• The Broncos play a neutral site match against Utah State on Saturday.
