Scales ran a 1:49.95 to finish 22nd in the quarterfinals of the 800m.
 
"Alex ended his season today with an impressive effort of 1:49.97, his sixth straight 800m race under 1:50.0. Tremendous consistency. His growth over the last four years and this season in particular has been so fun to be a part of. I'm really proud of him and can't wait to see what's next," head coach Felipe Montoro said.
