2024 Men's Water Polo Schedule
SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's water polo has officially unveiled their 2024 schedule, which is set to be the 22nd season under the leadership of head coach
Keith Wilbur.
The Broncos are set to host nine home games at the Sullivan Aquatic Center, including the annual Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament set to be played October 25-27.
Santa Clara will open the season at home against Fresno Pacific on Sept. 7th before heading east for the annual Princeton Invitational in New Jersey. Upon their return, the Broncos will host conference foe San Jose State and George Washington University on consecutive days, Sept. 20-21. A quick drive north to take on the Aggies of UC Davis on Sept. 27 will serve as the final official game of the month, however the Broncos will welcome back their alumni for their annual friendly alumni game on Saturday, Sept. 28.
October sees the Broncos take part in back-to-back tournaments - the WCC/Big West Tournament in San Jose and Lancer Invite in Riverside - before hosting the three-time defending national champion Cal Golden Bears on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 5:00 p.m. That match will serve as the first of five straight home matches including a WCC showdown against Cal Baptist (10/24) and all three games of the Julian Fraser Memorial (UC Merced, Harvard and Brown).
Once the calendar flips to November, Santa Clara will turn their attention to league play with four of their five matches during the month coming against WCC opponents. The Broncos will hit the road to take on Pepperdine (11/1), LMU (11/2) and Pacific (11/8), will take a quick break to take on non-conference foe Stanford on the Farm on Nov. 9, and will conclude the regular season by hosting Air Force on Nov. 15. The match against the Falcons will also serve as the Broncos' Senior Day.
