No. 10 Women's Soccer Picks Up Road Win at UC Davis

DAVIS, Calif. – A pair of late goals led No. 10 Santa Clara women's soccer to a 2-0 win at UC Davis Sunday afternoon. The Broncos (5-1) really took control in the second half after the Aggies (3-2) played them even over the first 45 but couldn't break through until goals two minutes apart late in the match sealed the victory.

  NOTABLE NUMBERS:
  • Santa Clara held a 21-11 advantage in shots and an 11-2 edge in shots on goal. The Broncos really got going in the second half, outshooting the Aggies 16-4 over the final period.
  • Five different Broncos had at least three shots and six had at least two.
  • Santa Clara also drew six corner kicks while allowing two.
  • Marlee Nicolos picked up her second shutout of the season with two saves.
  • Caeley Goldstein made nine saves for Davis.
  • The Broncos have just one loss through their first six matches for the fifth time in the last seven years. They were 6-0 in 2023, 3-1-2 in 2021, 5-1 in 2020, the season they won their second National Championship, and 5-1 in 2018.
