UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - Freshman
Amy Im had a solid opening day at the Leadership and Golf Invitational, carding a 1-over 73-72--145 in the first two rounds to tie for 20th after 36 holes of action at Chambers Bay Golf Course. She and the Broncos finished the day in 13th as a team at 19-over 296-299--595.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Im, making just her second collegiate appearance, carded four birdies on the back nine in the second round. She's currently in a three-way tie for 20th and five strokes outside of the top 10.
- Kelsey Kim saw a two-stroke improvement from round one to two, improving from her 75 in the opening round by turning in a 1-over 73 in second round to climb up into a tie for 31st.
- Audrey Brust was even in the first round, carding three birdies, but stumbled a bit in the second round with a 75 to finish the day in a tie for 37th at 5-over 149.
- Freshman Sonia Hao (155) and Proud Sriwongngam (156) are tied for 69th and 73rd, respectively.
- USC holds a two-stroke lead over Colorado in the team standings (571-573) while USF's Riana Mission leads the field at 9-under 135.
