STOCKTON, Calif. – A fourth quarter comeback came up short as Santa Clara women's basketball lost 75-64 to Pacific Thursday. Down most of the game, the Broncos (8-9, 2-5 WCC) came back to tie things in the fourth, but the Tigers (7-9, 3-3 WCC) made some big shots to hold on for the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Pacific started the game with the first seven points and got its lead out to as much as 10 before a 6-0 run for Santa Clara make it a 12-8 game. The Tigers would stretch their advantage to 21-14 by the end of the quarter.
- The offense for the Broncos went cold in the second and it allowed Pacific to go on an 8-0 run that made the deficit 31-18. The teams played even over the final 3:27 of the first half and the Tigers took a 39-26 lead into the half.
- The Pacific lead to as many as 18 in the third before a 6-0 Santa Clara run cut into a bit, but the Tigers still held a 56-42 lead after three quarters.
- The Broncos offense got going in the fourth. Over 4:10 in the quarter, a 15-1 run, featuring eight points from Olivia Pollerd, including a pair of 3-pointers, evened the score at 59-all with 5:24 to go. With the Pacific lead at 65-64, the Tigers got back-to-back buckets and followed with five free throws to close the game on a 10-0 run.

NOTABLE NUMBERS:
- Santa Clara shot 46.3-percent from the field and was 6-of-16 from beyond the arc. The Broncos were at 63.6-percent in the second half, including 8-of-10 in the fourth.
- Pacific shot 51.9-percent from the field and was 4-of-11 from downtown.
- Pollerd led all scorers with 27 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the field and went 3-of-4 on 3-pointers. Malia Latu also cracked double figures with 13 points with going 6-of-12 from the floor.
- Anaya James and Marina Radocaj both scored 19 to lead the Pacific offense. Elizabeth Elliot added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double and Liz Smith scored 11 with six assists.
