Women's Soccer Falls at Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif. – An early goal didn't stand up as Santa Clara women's soccer lost 2-1 at Pacific Saturday afternoon. The Broncos (5-6-2, 1-2-2 WCC) scored right out of the gate but couldn't find another as the Tigers (4-6-3, 1-3-1 WCC) evened things in the first half and then got the winner midway through the second half.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Santa Clara got on the board in the sixth minute after Mailin Orozco was taken down in the box. She then stepped to the stop and converted the penalty.
  • Pacific tied things up in the 39th minute on a long ball that went through the hands of Ally Reynolds and snuck into the net.
  • The Tigers found the game winner in the 70th minute on a beautiful shot from just inside the penalty box that got into the side net.
