MILLBRAE, Calif. - Santa Clara freshman golfer Amy Im shot 2-over 140 in the first two rounds of the Silicon Valley Showcase to finish the opening day of action tied for third and just two strokes off of the lead. The Broncos shot 14-over 582 as a team and are also tied for third with just 18 holes remaining at the par 71, 6,084-yard Green Hills Country Club. 

ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:

• Im opened the day with a 2-under 69, tied for her lowest round of the season. She tallied five birdies, including four of the last five holes on the back nine. The Aukland, New Zealand native followed up with two birdies to offset a pair of bogeys for an even par second round. Im is currently in a four-way tie for third and two shots behind Pepperdine's Lauren Gomez (138) for the individual lead. 
• Audrey Brust and Chloe Lam each finished the day inside the top 20 with Brust turning in a 71-73--144 to tie for 12th and Lam shooting 4-over 72-74--146 to tie for 18th. 
• Individuals Rachael Wang (150) and Proud Sriwongngam (151) are within one stroke of each other and tied for 29th and 34th, respectively while Kelsey Kim and Alexa Pineda tied each other at 12-over to tie for 39th. 
• Kansas State holds a one stroke lead over Pepperdine for the lead at even par-568.
