Women's Basketball Continues To Add to Roster

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball continues to remake its roster and has signed transfer Aniya Hooker from Sienna. Hooker is a 5-8 guard from Lynnwood, Wash.
 
As a freshman last season, Hooker played in 25 games for the Saints and made 23 starts while averaging just under 30 minutes per game. She scored 6.0 ppg to go with 2.4 apg, 2.2 rpg, and 1.4 spg.
 
At Lynwood High School, Hooker was named First Team All-WESCO three times and to the second team once while serving as a captain for four seasons. She also twice took home All-Area honors and was First Team All-State in 2023. Lynwood advanced to the State Tournament with the help of Hooker.
 
For her high school career, she scored over 1,000 points with over 500 rebounds, 300 assists, and 300 steals.
 
In the classroom, she was a member of the Honor Roll all four years.
