MARICOPA, Ariz. – Santa Clara women's golf junior
Audrey Brust secured a top-10 finish after closing out the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic with consecutive even-par rounds to finish at 3-over 219. She was one of four individuals that finished inside the top-15 of the final standings while the Broncos finished third as a team thanks to an even-par effort in Thursday's final round to finish 22-over 298-300-288--886.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Brust shot even par in the final round to finish in a tie for eighth - her best finish of the season and fifth top-10 outing of her career.
- Amy Im tied for 13th at 6-over 222, finishing the event on a high note with a 1-over 73 in Thursday's final round.
- Kelsey Kim and Chloe Lam tied each other for 15th at 7-over 223.
- Kim had the best round of the day for the Broncos with a 2-under 70 that included five birdies and an eagle on the par-5 No. 13 hole.
- Lam was 1-over 73 for the day - her best tally of the three rounds - to secure her best finish of the season and third inside the top 20.
- Sonia Hao tied for 56th posting 22-over 238, and Rachael Wang (23-over 239) followed a stroke behind to finish tied for 59th.
- Iowa State secured both the team and individual titles. The Cyclones finished 3-over 867 as a team to distance themselves from runner-up UNLV (875) while Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn took home medalist honors after finishing 2-under 214.
