SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has unveiled their 2025-26 men's basketball weekly conference matchup schedule, which is set to begin on Dec. 28.
The WCC adopted a new scheduling format for men's basketball that includes conference games primarily contested on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and date flexibility with national television partners to provide more national exposure for the conference on additional days of the week. The 2025-26 schedule includes conference games on as many as five days in a given week after the first three weeks. Weekday games will be played on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, and weekend games will be played on Saturdays or Sundays. The conference matchup schedule of weekday and weekend games includes a select number of contests that have been assigned to specific dates for national broadcast opportunities. The full schedule of games dates along with broadcast information will be announced later this fall, following the completion of national television selections with the conference's partners, ESPN and CBS Sports Network.
Santa Clara is slated to play seven home-and-away series with two home-only opponents and two away-only opponents to make up their 18-game schedule. The Broncos will begin their WCC campaign on the road with consecutive road games against Oregon State (12/28) and Portland (12/30). They will then host consecutive games to start the new year beginning on Jan. 2 against Pepperdine and two days later against San Diego (1/4). Santa Clara's return to the McCarthey Athletics Center to take on Gonzaga is slated for Thursday, Jan. 8, followed by a home contest against LMU on Saturday (1/10).
The remainder of Santa Clara's schedule dates will be finalized following television selections, with the exception being the Broncos' home contest against Gonzaga, which has already been selected to be carried by ESPN on Saturday, Feb. 14, time TBD.
