SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Santa Clara women's golf junior
Kelsey Kim has been named to the West Coast Conference's 2026 Women's Golf Preseason Team, as voted on by the league's head coaches. Additionally, the Broncos were picked to finish third as a team in the annual preseason poll.
A junior from Fullerton, Calif., Kim has already established herself as one of the top players in program history. Through two and-a-half seasons, she has accumulated the lowest career scoring average in the program's history at 73.85 strokes per round. As a sophomore in 2024-25, she tallied the second-lowest season scoring average by a Bronco at 73.88 strokes and posted seven top-20 finishes.
Kim had an outstanding fall campaign to open the 2025-26 season, finishing inside the top-20 in all four events the Broncos played, including three top-10 finishes. She posted a 71.00 scoring average over the fall stretch and set a new personal-best with eight rounds under par - just one shy of tying the program record with six spring events still to be played.
Kim opened the fall with a runner-up finish at the Kalispel Invitational, carding a 4-under 212. She placed 14th at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational before wrapping up the fall with consecutive 5-under 211 totals to tie for fourth and third, respectively, at the Golf Iconic Classic and Rainbow Wahine Invitational.
Santa Clara was tabbed to finish third by the league's coaches behind Pepperdine and Oregon State. The Broncos took third place at least season's WCC Championship.
