Men's Golf

One of Washington's Top Young Golfers Signs With Santa Clara

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's golf made another solid roster addition on Thursday as Quinn Burwell, a 2026 prospect from Seattle, officially signed with the Broncos. He will join the team for the 2026-27 season alongside fellow freshman signee Ryan Xie.

Burwell turned heads at the 2025 Washington Men's Amateur by setting a new course record at the Bear Creek Country Club in Woodinville, Wash. with an opening round 65 (-7) before ultimately finishing the event tied for 11th overall. He also had top-five finishes on the Washington Junior Golf Association (WJGA) at the Players Open (t-3rd) and Western Open (t-4th), as well as tie for 10th at the Washington State Junior Amateur (73-68-74--215).

Burwell, who attends Roosevelt High School, also competed in eight WJGA events in 2024 with a season-best finish at the State Championship where he took home fifth place.

"We are excited to have Quinn join the program," head coach Andrew Larkin said. "His background as a multi-sport athlete and strong work ethic give him some major upside that we can't wait to work with. We are excited to see Quinn grow and become an elite player over the coming years."
