BANDON, Ore. - Santa Clara mens' golf shot 1-under 283 for the second-consecutive day at the Bandon Dunes Championship and moved up to fifth place with a 36-hole total of 2-under 566. The Broncos are one of just five teams under par through two rounds at the par-71 6,633-yard Pacific Dunes course.
J.P. Odland shot 3-under 68 to jump 19 spots in the standings into the top 10 with only 18 holes remaining.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Odland wasn't the only Bronco with a big jump in Monday's round. Kevin Hollomon and Matt Robles each shot 1-under 70 to jump inside the top-30 with leaps of 22 and 25 spots, respectively.
- The Broncos tallied 19 birdies as a unit with Odland and Robles each notching five.
- Odland birdied the first three holes on the front nine as part of his 3-under 68 - his 10th round under par of the season, and is tied for eighth ahead of Tuesday's final round.
- Hollomon sits at even-par through 36 holes where he is tied for 21st while Robles is right behind him at 1-over 143 and tied for 28th.
- Oregon State continues to lead the field with a 10-stroke advantage over second-place Oregon at 24-under 544. The Beavers' Nguyen Anh Minh also maintained his day one lead with a three-stroke advantage at 11-under 131.
- Santa Clara enters the final round with a four-stroke advantage over sixth-place Wofford (570).
