SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference announced the members of the 2025-26 WCC Men's Golf All-Academic Team and Honorable Mention Selections on Thursday. Santa Clara's trio of
J.P. Odland,
Calder Overfelt and
Matt Robles each received honorable mention accolades.
A junior from Tiburon, Calif., Odland has posted a 3.438 career GPA while pursuing a degree in finance. He posted the third-lowest scoring average on the team this season at 71.18 strokes and tied for the team lead with three top-10 finishes. His best finish of the year was a fourth-place outing at the Preserve Golf Course Collegiate where he shot 9-under 207. Odland tallied 15 rounds under par with a team-leading 12 in the 60s. He currently holds the second-lowest career scoring average in program history at 71.12 strokes.
Overfelt, a senior communication major, has posted a 3.470 cumulative GPA to date. The senior pieced together the best season of his four-year tenure with a scoring average of 71.07 - second on the team and seventh-lowest in program history. He logged three top-20 finishes with his best being a runner-up outing at the season-opening Palouse Collegiate where he was an outstanding 14-under 199. Overfelt posted 14 rounds under par and ranks top-five in school history in the category with 46.
Robles, who was also recently named honorable mention All-WCC, has posted a 3.563 GPA in pursuit of an economics degree. The sophomore had yet another standing year on the course, leading the team in scoring average (71.06), top-20 finishes (6) and rounds under par (7). The Downey, Calif., product tied for the team lead of three top-10 finishes, taking fourth place at both the Palouse Collegiate (11-under 202) and Bridgestone Collegiate Invitational (14-under 202) before closing the season with a tie for seventh at the WCC Championship (4-under 209).
This is the third all-academic honor for Overfelt and the second for Odland in their SCU careers.
