BANDON, Ore. – Santa Clara men's golf is tied for sixth place following Sunday's opening round of the 2026 Bandon Dunes Championship. The Broncos shot a collective 1-under 283 at the par-71 6,633-yard Pacific Dunes course with
Jack Hayden leading the way at 3-under 68.
ROUND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Hayden's 68 was his lowest of the season in four events played. He tallied five birdies for the day to counter a pair of bogeys and finish the round in a tie for ninth.
- J.P. Odland also shot under par with a 1-under 70 to tie for 27th. It was his 10th round under par on the season, tying Calder Overfelt for the team lead. The Tiburon, Calif. product had a perfect back nine with four birdies, and added two more on the front nine, however he also had a pair of double-bogeys and another bogey over his first nine.
- Kevin Hollomon was 1-over 72 to tie for 43rd while Emil Nielsen and Matt Robles were both 2-over 73 to tie for 53rd.
- Oregon State leads teh field at 21-under 263. The Beavers' Nguyen Anh Minh holds a five-stroke lead individually following a 10-under 61 opening round.
