SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara Athletics Hall of Famer Terry Weekes passed away on October 22, 2025.  Weekes was a goalkeeper on the Broncos men's soccer team from 1973-76 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1994. 
 
Weekes was selected by the San Jose Earthquakes with the fourth overall pick of the 1976 North American Soccer League Draft.  After his playing career, the California native returned to the Mission Campus to coach the Broncos as well at UCLA.  
 
Weekes also served as the National Marketing Director for Adidas America and the United States Soccer Federation during the 1994 FIFA World Cup.
 
In 2017, he was recognized with an honored jersey inside Stevens Stadium at Buck Shaw Field.
