SAN BRUNO, Calif. — The Santa Clara University women's volleyball team raked in three West Coast Conference Player of the Week awards Monday after a perfect road trip, with outside hitter Cate Shanahan earning Offensive POTW, Macy Hinshaw grabbing Setter of the Week and middle blocker Allison Dzieciuch winning Freshman of the Week honors.
 
Shanahan averaged a whopping 5.33 kills per set while hitting .388 during the week, helping lead Santa Clara to back-to-back WCC sweeps on the road. Shanahan put down 14 kills with a .464 hitting percentage Thursday at Portland. She also notched two service aces, four digs and a block in that match. She narrowly missed a double-double on Saturday at Seattle, totaling 18 kills in only three sets (6.00 k/s) and also collecting eight digs. She'd add two blocks and an assist against the Redhawks.
 
Hinshaw was incredibly efficient for Santa Clara in the team's two road victories, averaging an impressive 12.67 assists and 3.83 digs per set. Hinshaw had 37 assists and 14 digs Thursday at Portland for her seventh double-double in a row and 10th of the year. She also had a kill and a block versus the Pilots. She topped that Saturday with 39 assists at Seattle. She narrowly missed another double-double with nine digs, but added two kills, a service ace and a block against the Redhawks in an all-around performance.
 
Allison Dzieciuch averaged 3.67 kills per set and hit at an elite .528 clip for Santa Clara across the two sweeps. Dzieciuch tallied a season-high 13 kills while hitting a season-best .579 Thursday at Portland. She also had a solo block versus the Pilots. She posted nine kills with only one error while hitting .471 Saturday at Seattle. She also collected three blocks and a dig versus the Redhawks.
 
The three awards give Santa Clara six total on the year. Opposite hitter Morgan Hayes earned back-to-back Offensive Player of the Week awards on Sept. 7 and 14. Hinshaw earned her first Setter of the Week award of 2026 on Sept. 7, alongside Hayes.
