Ferroggiaro Signs Professional Contract with Ottawa Titans

Thomas Ferroggiaro played in 143 games over four seasons (2023-26) for Santa Clara.
OTTAWA, Ontario. — Former Santa Clara University infielder Thomas Ferroggiaro wasted little time making the jump to professional baseball following his final season with the Broncos last month, signing with the Ottawa Titans of the independent Frontier League.

Ferroggiaro has appeared in eight games for the Titans and is already making an impact, carrying a .361 on-base percentage with six hits and two walks — right in line with the .358 career OBP he posted over four years at Santa Clara, including a career-best .368 this spring. He hit his first professional home run in his debut, hitting a solo shot on May 29 on the road at the Down East Bird Dawgs. He turned in his first career multi-hit game on Thursday, going 2 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs scored in an 8-3 Ottawa win over the New York Boulders.

Ferroggiaro was a regular starter for Santa Clara over four years (2023-26), playing in 143 games and starting 124 of them. He finished his career with 121 hits, 22 doubles, eight home runs, 84 runs scored and 58 RBIs. He found his power bat as a senior in 2026, hitting 11 doubles and five homers, both career single-season bests. He also found a knack for getting on base, finishing the year ranked eighth in the WCC with 48 runs scored and 11th with 33 walks.

Ferroggiaro, who majored in economics with a 3.874 cumulative grade point average, had 10 multi-hit games this spring and finished the campaign on a 13-game reached-base streak. He was named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators and placed on the West Coast Conference All-Academic First Team on two occasions. He landed on the WCC All-Freshman Team in 2023 and was a three-time WCC Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient ("Gold" honors twice, "Silver" once).

The Titans resume their schedule Tuesday at home with the first game of a three-game series versus the Brockton Rox. The Frontier League is the oldest active independent professional baseball league in North America and is an official MLB Partner League.
